Supply Chain Specialist

Primary Duties

  • Manages procurement activities and ensures that all purchase orders, both domestic and international, are issued in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Builds and manages supplier relationships, negotiates pricing, terms and delivery, and resolves issues.
  • Analyzes inventory quantities, delivery times, and sales forecasts, and establishes minimum order quantities and trigger points to ensure appropriate quantities on hand.
  • Measures, manages, and reports on KPIs by creating and analyzing reports
  • Ensures compliance with import and export regulations
  • Maintains ERP with supply chain related information
  • Coordinates delivery logistics
  • Coordinates with and oversees work of staff in China office
  • Identify and recommend process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or other relevant area.
  • Five or more years of relevant supply chain experience, ideally in a small company where you wear many hats OR in multiple areas of supply chain
  • APICS certification such as CPIM or CSCP preferred
  • Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job such as:
    • Safely navigating a manufacturing environment
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
    • Extended periods of sitting at a desk using computer, phone and office equipment
    • Occasional standing and walking
